Our classroom that is filled with energetic, multi level students who need real life curriculum that they can incorporate to everyday life. It is challenging to open up curriculum with no copies for children to follow. With the reading material, being asked for, I feel that every student will engage and have fun while learning! For instance, in order for my classroom to run successfully, I incorporate rotations with hopes to keep the students engaged and doing different activities based on their needs and academic levels. Therefore, the students would benefit from an easel and poster size pads during reading and writing centers. In a small table with 3-4 students, the students would have the opportunity to copy text within a close proximity. Having visuals is a must for my classroom, and unfortunately, the materials that I have now are broken and cannot be moved nor rolled. The classroom space is small and therefore a partition is also needed. Since I have multiple grades in my classroom, I need to teach different level curriculum and it can be distracting for other students who are participating with me in "teacher time" while others are on breaks (building puzzles, playing with play-doh, sensory toys etc). A partition would help my students and I be on track with goals! It would help keep their focus and attention going!
