Having my students be able to move around while sitting at their desks will improve their learning. My students are in third grade so they are in the process of growing and with that comes a lot of energy. Giving them the opportunity to expend that energy while seated will minimize them making excuses to get up and walk around. They will be more focused and alert to what is being presented to them instead of grabbing something with their hands and being distracted by that object. Flexible seating will over all minimize classroom interruptions and promote focus for my students.
