This project is specifically designed to meet the unique sensory needs of my students. The kiddos need sensory supports and interventions in place so that they can self regulate and participate successfully throughout the school day. Items I am requesting like stability discs, hearing protectors, and weighted blanket all help relax and calm the central nervous system which then allows students to learn comfortably. Hearing protectors will be used predominantly during loud transitions in the hallway or on the playground. The weighted blanket will be located in our self regulation station where the children can sit down under the blanket and practice deep breathing. These materials will make a huge difference in the student's lives at school. We are hopeful that you’re involvement and contribution to our Donors Choose will only advance where our kiddos are at.
