I would like to start an Engineering and Design Club for my sensational second graders. There are about one hundred and fifty students in second grade. However, I can only successfully service about twenty members each school quarter. The Straws and Connectors and Flakes will be used to build designs as we learn to solve problems using the Engineering and Design process. Each week students will ask, imagine, plan, create, test and improve their creations. It would be nice at the end of the quarter, if students could actually keep one of their small designs. That would only be possible if we have enough supplies. I am really hopeful to use the materials in the NASA Best Beginners Engineering Kit for children. Then we could really get deep into science investigations as well.
