In our classroom we have a wide span of ages and disabilities. Giving each student appropriate access can be difficult on several levels. Especially in providing seats that match each student and their physical and sensory needs in order to gain access to their appropriate academic level and education. From reading books aloud, to technology time, to attending groups, each student presents different sensory needs and alternate pathways to reach their access point for academics. By providing flexible seating options students will be allowed access to attend to tasks academically while meeting their sensory needs at the same time. Allowing this access to academics will promote success for each student and allow appropriate pathways for each individual need.
