During COVID-19 school closures, it was my top priority to ensure that all of my students continued to have access to their education. This meant that all of my students needed technology at home. As we transitioned to distance learning, students were able to continue their learning and growth through the use of technology. Technology is an important gateway to allow for students to have access to their education, their fellow peers, and their teacher at school AND at home. The safety and health of my students is my top priority as we begin to think about what next school year will look like. Education might be provided in a hybrid form next school year, meaning students will be given in-person instruction and have some form of distance learning. In order to ensure the best possible form of learning, my students will need access to technology at home AND at school. My hope is that my students can continue to have use of technology at home, while using Amazon tablets at school. It is extremely important that my students can continue their learning safely at home, as well as continuing to enrich their education in the classroom through the use of online programs (i.e. Lexia, iXL, Accelerated Reader, and much more!).
