Learning is not just a one-size idea. We often forgot to take a step back and recall what is developmentally appropriate for each child, not just for each age group. Children learn pre-writing skills when they first grab a writing utensil and use their fingers in specific ways. I am trying to give my students as many chances as possible to use the world around them to learn. I can best help my students grow in fine motor, gross motor, academically and developmentally with the help of supplies they can use in our room. These supplies would be games that use twisting, locks, and tweezers to work on fine motor. We would also benefit from science kits to learn how and why things work. Chairs that wiggle is also something I would love to use in the room to better support my students and their eagerness to bounce and move while working on projects. Please help me and my class get the tools we need for success.
