The Next Generation Science Standards have increased the integration of science concepts throughout the middle school curriculum. Every day my students are required to investigate scientific phenomena and make connections to several scientific concepts, which often requires research and independent discovery. That is hard to do when all you have is a textbook to support you. The school has the technology, but that requires teacher sign-up on a list that could be weeks long. The Chromebooks will remove all LIMITS for my classroom, and allow my students to immediately research questions they pose regarding the daily phenomena. I don't accept excuses in my classroom so I don't want a lack of technology to be an excuse for my students in my classroom.
