My students have been asking to do experiments ever since we started the school year, but our classroom is lacking the equipment needed to carry them on. The 8th grade curriculum is centered around Chemistry which is a very difficult and abstract subject to teach. With the basic lab materials listed here, my students will be able to see and conduct their own chemical reactions instead of watching them on the projector! Students should not simply learn about Science - they should DO Science! And for that to happen we need the basics - beakers, graduated cylinders, stirring rods and thermometers. Please help support my students' learning by giving them opportunities to experience Science firsthand!
