As art classes are not offered in our district until the 5th grade. I want to give my students the opportunity to express themselves creatively outside the regular classroom. We do not have a designated art studio at our school, so easels and art materials would be a great first step in creating that for them. Like so many of my colleagues, I have seen how beneficial the arts are for students of all ages and abilities to not only stretch their creativity, but also learn motor, behavioral, social, language, risk-taking, and problem-solving skills. Help me offer this much-needed outlet for our children! If given this opportunity beginning at age four, the sky is the limit of their future success!
