For this project, we are looking to fill out all our bookshelves with books for first-grade readers all the way to seventh graders. I want to provide my kiddos with the opportunity and agency to pick up a book and read it during their independent reading time. Currently, my bookshelves are about as bare as you would expect a first-year teacher's to be, but that hasn't stopped us from finding ways to engage our reading skills. In the end, I know exposing my kiddos to as many words as possible is of the utmost importance in their academic journeys, and having an extensive library for them to browse makes that possible.

About my class
