I have been afforded the wonderful opportunity to teach students with multiple needs. My students are bright and inquisitive and enjoy learning. However, their disabilities hinder them from enjoying the databases and learning tools that our district has purchased to enhance learning. The students in my class have disabilities that impact their fine motor and gross motor skills, communication, and cognitive abilities. The items that have been requested in this project will help them to utilize databases that we use in school and help them to develop critical readiness skills, as well as communication and social skills. My students are visual and tactile learners. The Ipads will allow them to access learning via a touch screen and allow them to participate in classroom activities.
