Students often march to the beat of their own drummer. Why not have that beat match the science standards? Flocabulary provides access to videos with songs that are set to rap music. Students' interest levels are immediately heightened when the beat is dropped. When content is related to music it makes deeper connections in the brain and helps the students increase their understanding. Nearpod provides a platform for students to move through content lesson at their own pace or with a class. Input is given throughout the lesson allowing for students to demonstrate understanding and for me to informally assess them. Students will use classroom iPads or Chromebooks to access the lesson. I can also assure that every student participating.
