These materials will allow me to instill the love of STEM and being innovative thinkers by exposing students to 21st-century tools and encouraging them to explore fields in STEM. "STEM education is an interdisciplinary approach to learning where rigorous academic concepts are coupled with real-world lessons as students apply science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in contexts that make connections between school, community, work, and the global enterprise enabling the development of STEM literacy and with it the ability to compete in the new economy" (Tsupros, 2009). I would like to incorporate technology and coding through engineering into my lessons. Your donation will provide my young learners with hands-on learning experiences and give them the coding and engineering tools needed for college and career readiness. Students will use skills to program their Robot Mouse and use the building materials to design and create projects which meet the needs of TK-5th grade science and engineering state standards.
