Your donation to help fund 4 Hokki stools for our classroom will provide the sensory stimulation my students need so their minds can focus on learning. In order to truly see progress in a child's learning, a teacher has to consider the whole child, including his/her sensory needs. Many students have difficulty focusing on learning. Educators have found that providing sensory supports for students decreases the distractions and increases learning. A Hokki stool is an effective sensory tool that allows students to wobble around as they sit. By providing opportunity for a student to naturally move while receiving educational content, a child's focus improves, participation increases, and ultimately enables the student to learn.
