Students come to school from all different home environments. There are times where they have a bad day and they need a safe place to go to and calm down. I want my room to be a safe and calming place for all students of every age. I need your help! These materials will be used in the counselor's office to help create a safe and calming environment where students can come to regroup themselves. Weighted blankets will help give students a sense of security and help relieve some anxiety, and puppets will help give them a way to express their feelings. These materials are used to help students that have trouble with expressing themselves. It also gives them a place to come to when they feel overwhelmed. Books and materials will be used to give character education lessons to all grades. The thumballs will create a fun way to help students communicate with others, while talking about important character and social skills.
