I need copies of Lorraine Hansberry's Raisin in the Sun to teach in English and drama classes. Like any solid piece of literature, it deals with themes that students can identify with (family, race, love, responsibility). Loraine Hansberry was a trailblazer, and this play is funny and honest. Having taught it to a variety of classes through the years, it is the play that kids who "don't like plays" usually end up loving. The characters are richly drawn and funny, even though the play is a mini-tragedy in some regards. It is a pleasure to teach this great work. All I need are the books! Thanks for checking this out.
