My hope is the more students get to explore with materials like the ones chosen that it will lead to looking at what professions use this style of thinking to solve problems. I specifically picked these constructing supplies because of their versatility in how they can be used. One students magnetic house is another's Batcave. I brought in some sanded wood pieces and they literally get used each day, but sometimes their creations don't stay and aren't colorful. With the magnetic blocks there are more pieces and they'll be able to be more sturdy. The Balls and Pipes set is for those that love rolling and building. Every kid I know has built something at some point to roll a car or ball down. This set will give them the materials to do it on a regular basis.
