The books I've chosen are relevant to the issues my students face and/or the content they need to know to be successful in the third grade. The books are interesting, and can be used as part of my guided reading block, independent reading, or teacher read-aloud. When people enjoy what they are reading, they are likely to read more. A good reader is more likely to be successful in other subjects, too. Thank you in advance for helping my students understand that reading doesn't have to be boring. With the right book, one can get lost in the story and walk away a better and more enriched person.
