These materials will help my children when they are feeling overwhelmed and need a place to go to be alone. Often, when children are first leaving their parents, they will feel sad and not know how to handle their emotions. With the materials asked for, I will be able to create a “safe place” for them to go and have toys and books that will help them stay calm or to have some time alone. In the art area, they will have a variety of collage materials to choose from and be able to use their imagination to create art.
