These supplies will help us refurbish a small area on our campus into an urban garden oasis where fruits and vegetables can be grown, harvested and then taken to our kitchen to be turned into a wonderful component of a meal. This garden will allow students to understand the value of how the food they eat is grown, and the process it takes to maintain it. We will have road blocks I am sure, but this like many other issues they will face in life is going to show them that while right now this weed filled area does not look like much, with a little water, sunshine and attention it will provide and produce great things!

About my class
