The Scholastic readers will help my Kindergarten and first grade students develop a love for reading. This magazine subscription will provide my class weekly magazines for one year! My students will be able to read the stories with each other and apply what they learned to our Montessori lessons! They will be so excited to have their own magazines to share with each other and their families. The stories are aligned to our state standards and Montessori scope and sequence. We are a public charter Montessori school. Therefore, we align the state standards with our Montessori lessons. They will also enjoy the beautiful pictures and captions in the non fiction magazines. The children find them interesting to read because they are about topics in cultural science. They are engaging and just the right level of reading for my class to feel like successful readers. I want the kids to feel confident and enjoy reading. This will help them become life long readers.
