I have hand-selected some titles I know my students would be interested in reading. My students are incredibly insightful and curious. They want to branch out to different genres but oftentimes need some help getting started in finding a good book. I will be starting First Chapter Friday's, where I read the first chapter of a new book each Friday and then allow my students to check the book out afterwards. I want to build my classroom library to make it a comfortable, exciting place for them to explore. I bought a nice rug and pillows to make a reading area for students to get comfortable and hopefully get lost in a book, and I want my passion for reading to spill over to them. There is nothing quite like escaping into another world and the feeling reading a good book gives you :)
