I know lockers do not typically seem like a material that makes a big difference, but when a child is able to store their personal belongings safely in the classroom, this enables them to feel successful and empowered. That’s huge for children seeking a place to call their own. Often the classroom is the one area, next to their home that they feel is theirs. It’s where they grow academically as well as socially and emotionally. Creating a personal space like lockers for a child allows that first step in creating that empowerment. It also helps with security of their belongings
