In our modern society, we have a large group of young people that struggle with getting enough time outdoors and being active. At my school, I work with many students that have this struggle because of financial stress and the inability to participate in school-related physical activity. I want to offer my students an affordable alternative to mainstream sports that is non-contact and non-strenuous. With all of the mental stress that we give kids at school with content-specific work, Disc Golf can be something to look forward to for those students lost in the middle of academic and athletic achievement.
