Encouragement and choice build confidence in students! With the use of yoga balls with bases and pillows for seating choices around the room, I will build choice and responsibility over personal pace in my classroom. I will create an organized space where students use cues found around the room to take charge of their learning and time management. In small groups, students will utilize the yoga balls to help stay engaged while tackling more challenging objectives. By SHINING a light on every student's achievements I will reinforce their efforts and give them confidence to work hard and take chances in learning and growing! I will shine this light by leaving notes of encouragement and highlighting their achievements on the light clip string! Using organizational items effectively in a classroom helps to build security, reinforce expectations for everyone in the room, and equip students with the information they need to take responsibility for their schedules, their learning and their time. This is such a valuable skill for their futures. Thank you for investing in my third graders! They have such bright futures and I am so very grateful to be a part of guiding their path.
