Students are required to spend a large portion of their day indoors, most often sitting. Even with movement breaks and gym class, it's just not enough. Students need the ability to fidget and move so they can focus on their tasks, retain information, and maintain a healthy sense of well-being. Having equipment specifically designed to let students move enables them to make positive choices and be ready to learn. Students' environments can sometimes be stressful or chaotic; they may not have a lot of choices in their lives. Flexible seating provides an opportunity for students to have a sense of control while learning to manage their choices responsibly. Things like wobble chairs and exercise balls really do support the whole child both educationally and social-emotionally. It seems easy enough, but I need your help making this a reality for my students. The bottom line is kids love flexible seating, and flexible seating is good for kids! It's simply a win-win! Thank you for your consideration!
