My students do not have the opportunity to literally travel around the world, or for that matter around their state. One way I can give them that worldly experience is by sharing literature that shows them about other countries and cultures. I love reading about what it would be like to live in another country. I want to share that excitement with my students. I have carefully chosen books that will give them a taste of life in another country. With these new books, my students will be able to experience what it would be like to live on another continent and in another country. They will be able to compare their climate, geography, population, and culture to countries around the world. This is my way of giving them the chance to see the world without leaving the library.
