These books would expand my current library to include classic children authors, a variety of stories and encourage social development through literature. Through encouraging a love of reading at an early age, I can support a child’s confidences, character development and social skills. Learning to read is a journey in which can be frustrating if students are not interested. These titles can spark an interest among students as well as model and encourage how to interact with others. At this early age, learning from one’s environment as well as resources can benefit the students as they master different skills in their first year of formal education.

About my class
