The bean bag chairs will help to create an inviting reading nook where students will feel welcomed to engage in their silent sustained reading activities. As literacy is so fundamental to learning, the assortment of books will be added to the classroom library in order to provide students with more choice and to enhance their literacy skills. I hope that my students will become even more excited about reading through the time they spend in my classroom. Students will not only discover that reading is fun, but that it exercises their brains, improves their concentration, builds their vocabulary and language skills, and develops their empathy.
