Our students love nothing more than to express themselves. Sometimes, we can't provide that in classrooms. This podcast set enables all of our students to explore, maintain, and develop their own platform to share their unique interests and passions. One of our students already expressed interest in producing a "BookPod", a book review style podcast that explores interesting titles for teens. Imagine all of the fascinating shows, episodes, or series that our students could create. More so, as they progress, they're able to take ownership of their creations. No longer are they constrained to formal studies day in and day out. They can explore everything else, such as book review shows. Hopefully, this inspires them to pursue interests outside of the classroom and demonstrates the power of personal creation in media. Podcasting is a direct link to the community for students to harness to share their ideas, interests, and opinions. I will be there every step of the way to nurture them while maintaining cautionary measures as we should do with all forms of media. With the right amount of preparation and support, our students can explore not only the world of communication and media, but to find themselves as well.
