As one of the bilingual schools in the District of Columbia, we are privileged to educate and support youth with various backgrounds. Some of our students are newcomers to the country and have come with very little if any supplies, especially school and hygiene products. We want to support families with this small gesture as we help get them connected with community resources. We want to make sure every child feels welcome here at their school and have a sense of normalcy by having the same supplies and opportunities that other children have. Each child who arrives to our school as their first stop in their educational journey will be provided with a backpack that includes school supplies and some personal hygiene items.
