I work with students who have mild to moderate learning disabilities who require extra supports to be successful. The fidget items listed really help a lot of the students to be able to focus on the lessons and classwork. It's a way for individual students to be active without it being a distraction to their peers. My classroom directly connects to another classroom so the items listed (curtains, noise machine, etc) are going to be very helpful to reduce the outside noise. This will allow the students to concentrate better on the lessons. A lot of the students need practice with their organizational skills. The cubby storage and calendar will give the students space and a visual to practice these organizational skills. Majority of students do better with visual aids and the current classroom does not have a working whiteboard. The whiteboard paper give me the flexibility to make multiple areas for me to teach and for the students to show their work to the class.
