The large, sectioned carpet that I am requesting for my scholars is by Lakeshore Learning. This carpet provides a space for each of my students to feel welcome and apart of our classroom community. Each morning students and I will meet at our carpet to get to know each other better and learn about our commonalities and differences. I plan on using this carpet as a special spot for each scholar to call their own since we use flexible seating. With this carpet, each student will have enough space to focus during whole group lessons. Students can also use this space during independent work time to practice writing skills. They can even use the carpet to read!
