Many of our students come from low-income homes. Many of the materials requested are not affordable to their families. The students will have access to writing utensils and a journal in which they can in daily. They need to have math manipulatives in which they can use to help figure number sense and simple math problems. With my help, the students will use their materials to enrich what I am teaching them. They deserve a great head start to this school year. Times are tough at the moment and we have to do what we can with what we have. These children need to be given the same opportunities to succeed!
