These books will be donated directly to our school library. Students have access to our library daily and will have access to all of these new titles. Many classes visit the library monthly to encourage students to check out titles that are relevant and engaging to them. Many of these titles have been specifically requested by students, but our library does not have enough funding to keep up with the demand. Reading not only increases comprehension, vocabulary and critical thinking, but it enhances our students' ability to empathize with others. Continuing to build a diverse school library that appeals to all of our students will help us support our students' skills and create life long readers.
