Our Media Center has a vision for linking literacy with STEAM activities and technology. We are a 1:1 school, with a very diverse student body. The Media Center is a place where students encounter beauty in literature, creativity through STEAM activities that we then connect to technology. The vision is that it is a place where every student can thrive because of the variety of activities. LEGO is a key component to this vision, as the possibilities are endless for design. LEGO provides the platform for students to build connections with each other and literature. We want students to understand concepts related to engineering which we have already introduced with LEGO Chain Reactions product. With these new sets, we are able to build on to these concepts and create more grandiose projects. LEGO brings a smile to everyone! These new materials will enhance our literature connections by giving student choice as they meet the STEAM challenge.
