Students need to be able to move while they work. Having the desk bouncy bands for each of them will give them an opportunity to be more focused during lessons, stay on task and improve their overall well being. Providing kinesthetics during instruction is an integral part of effective learning and teaching. My students have 90 minute blocks for Math and ELA instruction each day with only a 15 minute recess a day. This is simply not enough. With the desks and chairs provided by the school, some of them cannot reach the floor with their feet. I believe given the opportunity that these bands will allow them to focus for an extended period of time and improve on the class reaching their learning goals. I teach both 3rd and 4th grade Math and Science. These bands will benefit 60 of my students. Please help me provide these to my class and make the learning in my classroom more dynamic.
