I am asking for help to purchase big comfy pillows and a light up table. I serve students with moderate to severe social, emotional and academic disabilities. With all of that said, these students struggle with emotional regulation. In my classroom I am creating a welcoming and comfortable calm down corner for students to use as needed. It is common for students to take multiple breaks throughout the day and these chairs would provide great support. It is so incredibly important that my students have an area where they feel they can safely express themselves. Having a light up table in the classroom will support my students in a variety of ways. This will be an engaging area where my students can work on letters, numbers, shapes, and animals while providing sensory to students This classroom is not a one size fits all, so my students require access to multiple means of learning. They all work at different levels and paces and my goal is to meet all of their needs every part of the day.
