The majority of the items listed within this project are to meet the sensory needs of my students. My classroom is a brand new program and as a first year teacher I do not have the ability or the budget to supply them with every thing they need. This project would help to fill the gap between what I and the school can provide. As a special needs classroom each individual student has separate needs that we must fulfill. This project will help us design an instructional program that best works for our students and what they need to achieve their goals. These items specifically will allow them to have sensory materials at their disposal that they can work for as an incentive during lessons such as academics including discreet trial sessions using the STAR curriculum as well as when they are exhibiting positive behaviors throughout the day. Reinforcement with preferred items such as those I am requesting help our students by having extrinsic motivation to aide in their behaviour modification and goals.
