This furniture will replace the old things I used to create a learning environment that was comfortable and welcoming for my students with autism. In order to reach their potential, all of my students need a classroom that is flexible and friendly to their sensory needs. Due to COVID, most of my old classroom furniture had to be put away to maintain a safe space for students. Since most of the materials lost were old, fraying hand-me-downs, I decided to see this as an opportunity to revitalize the space so I can surprise my special learners with a fresher, more welcoming classroom.
