My students are trail blazers that are navigating learning. My class consist of critical thinkers, reflective learners, and creative minds. Students love to ask questions and understand the world around them. My class is a community that builds on each other and works as a team. Collaborating is key to their success. We teach, solve, and create learning together. We are the future! Our school is a Title I school, in the inner city of North Carolina, so poverty is a prevalent issue in our community. The issue of need is high. Families are having a hard time providing. The question of necessity is now mandatory and the things that would make learning more efficient, aren't making the cut. Although we face great challenges, my students work 10x harder to overcome. Students are putting forth great effort to defeat obstacles that are hindering their learning. Every day we start with a new slate to conquer new heights.
