First step in tutorials is to complete a Tutorial Request Form. A student identifies a problem of understanding a concept in a subject. He completes the form, TRF, up to the point of confusion. Once in class, the tutorial group sit in a semi-circle so they can see the the white board and effectively collaborate with each other and the student presenter. The white board is a tool where the student writes information as the group members ask questions guiding him to solving the problem. The points of confusion are identified, checks for understanding are listed and then steps/processes are identified which are all written on the white board.
