These materials will increase the opportunities for my students to explore books at their instructional reading levels as well as provide for an increase in multi-sensory and hands-on learning. My students are eager to learn to read and this project will spur them on to greater achievement. Every Monday morning, my students enter the classroom with great expectation for the Letter of the Week! They cannot wait to hear about the topics we will learn about each day and how they all begin with the same first letter. My classroom lacks adequate literature to fully support each week's letter, so this Guided Reading Library would be a tremendous asset to my instructional practice and students' learning.
