Having class novels in my classroom is important. We use the novel to dive deep into the story itself while also enabling us to go more in depth on our 6th grade standards. Students become more critical thinkers through discussions of the novel. Reading is important, and I want to do it in an interactive and more meaningful way through discussions of fun novels. My students being advanced thrive off of conversation and being able to discuss their thoughts with one another on a topic that we are all working on. Class novels allow me as their teacher to bring them to a deeper understanding of a book as well as push them to look deeper into charcters, setting and plot. I'm really excited to add a class set of Crash for my students because I think they will really enjoy the story and understand the standards that have been set forth by the state. Thank you!
