This printer and printer ink will be used for a variety of everyday educational needs including daily writing and printing in the classroom. More so, however, I envision the students being able to each have an opportunity to create and print group projects. I also want them to learn how to respect the delicacies of the latest technology. It's not just a tool by which they can create things. As a ATPE history teacher I also see it as a gateway to better understanding how technology is a part of history from the wheel, to paper, to phones, to cars, to television, etc. It's just another aspect of human life throughout the ages, but one that has set our species apart from others and allowed us to adapt the environment to our needs. Students need to then appreciate how not to abuse that ability. They need to truly comprehend the enormity of how the latest technology can affect their lives. My students have many challenges to overcome every day, but with these new materials, we would be able to give my students the best chances to gain new skills like their peers.
