During an hour of the school day, students divide into different stations to help review skills that might be giving problems . They are usually in small groups of 5-6 students. A listening center is another great station where students are able to listen to books being read to them. Depending upon the need they may listen to the story over and over again. This helps with comprehension, listening skills, and vocabulary. Listening centers also help with developing the love of reading. These centers help the students hear how to read by putting a "voice" to the characters. They model fluent reading and are fun to use.
