As a student in Wood Construction Basics, my students will be given a hands-on experience into the world of construction. They will explore construction basics, use various constructional technology, learn from experts, as well as complete our own small-scale construction projects. This class will give my students a firsthand experience into the principles of drafting, construction technology, assembly, as well as finishing various small-scale wood projects. My students need to learn about, incorporate, and use real-life tools to complete real-life tasks. My students will be able to be proficient in basic power tools and how to apply that knowledge of them to complete introductory tasks with them as well as form a foundation of future tool and technology use.
