Having someone read you a story, has the ability to create bonds, memories and a love for reading. But all too often, when asked if someone reads to you at home...I see less responses each year. The listening center is a great tool for center time to support previously learned concepts or support thematic lessons. In supporting this project it helps our students develop reading skills while following along with a story through this multi- media audio system! As a librarian we want to instill the love of reading at an early age, in hopes of creating life long learners.
