My project will focus on equity. Last year, during distance learning, I noticed that each of my students' home situations had its own set of challenges, including lack of space to work, quiet, and supplies. This coming year, I would like to start out the year with ALL students having headphones, notebooks, whiteboards, and manipulatives for understanding math, such as dice and blocks. As a school in St. Paul, our school has a diverse makeup of many cultures. I hope to build a more culturally diverse library to teach through the many cultures in our school community. These materials will help to strengthen the bond between school, home, and help bridge the "distance" in distance learning.
